[OOC Meme]

(OOC meme: What was your initial impression of my online persona? Did you think I was young or old, boy or girl, wearing glasses or not, possibly acting/sounding like a certain professor-type? ^_^

We've never met, but, IIRC, I've seen pictures of you, and your appearance didn't surprise me. Although you were younger than I'd have guessed. :O <- surprise

I never thought you were male or white-haired, but I was surprised to find out you were into anime.

That surprises most people, actually. Anime was my first real fandom, and though I'm not as gung-ho about it as I once was I still have connections to it. I frequented USENET's alt.fan.utena and alt.fan.sailor-moon for the better part of two years, before I went off to university.

I actually knew you from TDIR fandom long, long before Milliways existed in that way where I stalked your fic from afar. So my perspective is a little different. We've still never talked (that I can remember) and I think I'm still in awe of you. It's hard for me to believe that we run amok in the same playground.

I knew about how old you were, and this might be terribly stereotypical but I imagine you with glasses with the little beaded holders that hang around the neck. They are very Librarian-ish, you see. *ducks*

So much with the glasses. And I think you have lots of hair -- not Merriman or Book extent, but, say, Hermione extent.

And you write in bound notebooks, possibly Moleskine, in fountain pen.

I put you at late-20's, and I think I originally put you in New York? Probably. I put everyone in NY.

You've got the hair right, definitely. Anyone who's seen me in person can attest to the sheer Hermione-ness of my hair. ^_^ And I do have a fountain pen, a nice solid Waterman, though I tend not to use it often because I'm afraid of breaking it and I haven't set aside money for a good replacement.

You were one of the Wise Old Masters of TDiR fandom in my head... old, in this case, defined as older-than-me-but-not-by-much... and possibly scary in a Professor Stanton (not Professor Lyon) kind of way. I assumed you were female; I'm not sure what particular detail gave me that impression.

I have this mental image of you as a professor-type, with glasses, and chalk, and . . . well. Not tweed.

*ponders* I am bad at separating muns and pups, apparently.

Reading your Merriman definitely affected my image of you, but I knew you were female. I possibly thought you were older than you really are, because you come across as very intelligent and thoughtful.

I also would not have guessed you were an anime fan.

Hm. English student or professor, likely. Between early 20s and thirties, possibly british, fairly mature regardless of age.

Hermione-ish, because my hair is like a short version, and for some reason I pictured you with my kinda hair.

No glass.

Knew you were British, and female. Guess mid-twenties. Mature, and, yes, vauge Merriman-ish, because you two are so linked in my head. *grins*
